Alumni: Louis Abramson, 2015 Ph.D., University of Chicago, 2015 Postdoctoral Scholar, UCLA Astronomy & Astrophysics Webpage I use data and models to study how many ways galaxies can evolve to reach their observed masses and mass growth rates. Though specific, this question is central to understanding how galaxies--the universe's machines for turning gas into stars and ultimately life--emerged from the basic laws of physics.
