Particle and High Energy Astronomy & Astrophysics Studies of the most energetic gamma rays and cosmic rays may reveal cosmological information on early relics and the far infrared background. In addition, research in this area includes direct searches for low energy dark matter candidates such as WIMPS. Some of us at Chicago are leaders in Auger and JEM-EUSO projects.
