Postdoctoral position in high-energy, extragalactic astrophysics
The Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Chicago invites applications for a post-doctoral scholar position to work with Prof. Irina Zhuravleva and collaborators on high-energy, extragalactic astrophysics. The astrophysics research includes multi-wavelength observations and theoretical studies of galaxy clusters, groups and giant elliptical galaxies, thermal and non-thermal processes in the intracluster medium, physics of AGN feedback, turbulence and transport processes in the intergalactic plasma, high-resolution X-ray spectroscopy. Applicants interested in other fields of extragalactic astrophysics are also encouraged to apply. Learn more >>
