Rocky is the Arthur Holly Compton Distinguished Service Professor of Astronomy and Astrophysics  at the University of Chicago, as well as a member of the Enrico Fermi Institute, and the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics.


Rocky played his last competitive basketball game in the 2006 Fermilab World Championship .

Rocky's mostly interested in the applications of particle physics to the early universe. He claims to do this in order to discover answers to truly fundamental questions, such as the Top Ten Questions about the Universe .
