A fantastic image of the Vela Supernova Remanant from the Chandra X-ray Observatory.
The Chandra X-Ray Observatory had a nice display booth at the Rochester New York meeting of the American Astronomical Society. This booth was next to our poster paper (Slavin and Frisch, on the "Ionization of the Interstellar Cloud Surrounding the Solar System"). Here are several photos of the Chandra booth, taken Tuesday afternoon June 6, 2000 (during the hullabaloo at an adjacent booth).
