In this catalogue, I list total line-of-sight column densities for a number of atomic and molecular species; values for the LMC generally refer to absorption at v > 200 km/s. Most are derived either from spectra obtained at resolutions better than 5 km/s or from relatively weak lines. In this list, however, I will also include estimated 1-sigma uncertainties. For the values derived from weak lines, the uncertainties are derived from the uncertainties on the equivalent widths. For the values derived via multi-component fits to the profiles of stronger lines, the formal uncertainties are often 0.01-0.02 dex --- but the true uncertainties are probably somewhat larger. I generally assume a minimum uncertainty of 0.04 dex in such cases. Most lines of sight have 2 pairs of lines [column density / uncertainty -- both logarithmic (except for the four DIBs, which are equivalent widths, and the color excess, in mag)]. Some lines of sight also have H2 rotational population data (J=0-5), mostly from Tumlinson et al. (2002). The "typical" uncertainties are given in the header. The source codes (following each column density value) are explained at the end of the table.
Postscript plots and equivalent width data will be available for many of the stars; see the corresponding catalogue of optical/UV data .
