Once upon a time there was a complex, state-of-the-art high-technology-system (SOTAHTS). It was surrounded by technicians, engineers, scientists, and programmers and lots of other brilliant people. Together the poked and pampered and examined and tested and programmed and updated this SOTAHTS and it worked and purred and produced data that opened new new views of the natural world. Then one day SOTAHTS stopped functioning. All scratched their heads, and commenced to poke and examine and test and program in hopes of righting the wrong that had caused this miraculous machine to malfunction. Alas they labored in vain and failed to make SOTAHTS work again. Enter the Golden Knight, who immediately made a few adjustments and SOTAHTS was again purring and producing data and opening up new views of the natural world. The Golden Knight was therein proclaimed the great "Genius" who worked and wrought miracles on equipment. Alas, they did not know that he could fix it because he was the one who broke it in the first place.
