In this catalogue, I list total line-of-sight column densities for a number of atomic and molecular species. Most are derived either from spectra obtained at resolutions better than 2 km/s or from relatively weak lines. Many of the values have been published in the appendices to Welty & Hobbs (2001); Welty, Hobbs, & Morton (2002); and Sonnentrucker et al. (2007).
In this catalogue, however, I have also included estimated 1-sigma uncertainties. For the values derived from weak lines, the uncertainties are derived from the uncertainties on the equivalent widths. For the values derived via multi-component fits to the profiles of stronger lines, the formal uncertainties are often 0.01-0.02 dex --- but the true uncertainties are probably somewhat larger. I generally assume a minimum uncertainty of 0.04 dex in such cases.
Most lines of sight have 2 pairs of lines (column density / uncertainty -- both logarithmic except for color excess and diffuse bands). The "typical" uncertainties are given in the header. Some lines have a third pair which contains data for the rotational excitation of H2. The source codes (following each column density value) are explained at the end of the table.
Postscript plots and equivalent width data are available for many of the stars; see the catalogues of atomic lines and molecular lines based on high-resolution spectra.
NOTE: Please contact me if you wish to use any of this information in connection with a project or paper of your own, to make sure that you are aware of any assumptions that went into the analysis of the spectral data and any resulting limitations or uncertainties in the tabulated values. In particular, values that are not yet published are subject to change as new spectra and/or better fits become available (and I may not update this table immediately).
