To understand how vision is produced, we must investigate the structure of the eye. In this week's laboratory, we focus on internal structure.

The blind spot test leads into a discussion that photoreceptor cells allow for vision, but are not present on optical nerve ending. A peripheral vision test shows that the distribution of rods and cones is not uniform. When an object enters one's peripheral vision, first movement is detected, followed by color, and finally shape.
