Research

My research background is in cosmology, with an emphasis on the abundance and distribution of dark matter in the universe. In the past I have searched for miniature (dwarf) galaxies, which contain an unusually large amount of dark matter, by writing numerical algorithms that measure where stars appear to be clustered on the sky. Currently I am studying how the abundance of dark matter distorts the appearance of distant regions of space (redshift space distortions), which when observed in better detail will allow us to differentiate between competing models of how the universe and its contents change with time.
