Tuesday April 23, 7:30-9:30
The theme of April 23rd's meeting will be observing with Stone Edge Observatory, and making beautiful pictures from astronomical images taken in three different filters which means three different wavelengths (colors). Here is an example of an image taken by Josh Thum which he posted to Space Weather website. http://spaceweather.com/gallery/indiv_upload.php?upload_id=80734
If you attend this meeting you will be able:
- Have access to images already taken for you to use to make your own beautiful pictures and submit them for a photo contest
- Learn how to operate Stone Edge Observatory in real time to take your own images from home
- Learn how to program webpages to make your own programs
- Observe with Yerkes telescopes if the weather is clear
