| Zoom |
Change the zoom factor of your
image. When you do this you are making the pixels appear larger on
your screen.
Click inside the
box. Hold down the mouse and sweep over the number or hit Backspace
or Delete on the keyboard. Replace the 1 with a new number like 3. Redraw or press
Enter or Return.
You
might try changing color palettes to help you see the individual
pixels. Zoom to 5. Note your favorite zoom, min, max and color
settings for this image. Change the zoom back to 1 when you finish.

| Zoom Box |
 Zoom Box is another way to zoom in on a part of an
image. Go to Data Tools, select Zoom Box. Then use your cursor
to box out an area of interest on the image. You will use the mouse to
click, then drag on a diagonal, then release. You can also increase the
zoom factor of this box by changing the value for zoom in the menu bar
like you did for Zoom. Can you think of some reasons you might like
to use the Zoom Box tool? Close the zoom box when you are done. Do
not save. |
| Clean Up |
Zoom Box and other tools, such as Slice and Aperture, leave marks on the
image. To clean up these marks, click on , which looks like a broom
and dustpan. You can also go to the View menu and select, Cleanup marks.  |
