HOU Tools:
Open Flip Log

Using the image, M42__10.fts, practice the HOU image processing tools.  Open the image.  Flip it horizontally.  Click in the box in front of Log to logarithmically scale the colors of the image to bring out the dim features.

Open HOU image processing software.  Open up M42__10s.fts.

Flip the image horizontally.

Click ok.jpg (1812 bytes) .

North is up, and East is to the left, as it is when you face South and look at Orion in the sky (Northern Hemisphere Point of View).

 

Click on Log Scaling.
