Lunar Eclipse

These three images were taken by Dave Lane who works at the Burke-Gaffney Observatory, St. Mary's University in Nova Scotia.

Now use your image processing tools to see lunar features hiding in Earth's shadow during this Lunar Eclipse!  Here is an example for the last two images especially.

The times on the image names correspond to the UT times the images were taken as shown in the 'image info' file.  How do you explain what is going on during the eclipse?  Can you draw a sketch or make a model to explain your ideas.
