There are 5 telescopes permanently mounted at Yerkes: the 40-inch refractor (the largest refractor in the world), a 40-inch reflector (called the 41-inch to avoid confusion with the 40-inch refractor), a 24-inch reflector, a 10-inch reflector, and a Schmidt Camera. All the telescopes are regularly used. When you come to the observatory, you can see the 40-inch and sometimes the 10-inch, but tours do not regularly include the other telescopes.
