Lena Murchikova, Caltech, "The first detection of warm ionized disk around the Galactic Center Black Hole SgrA*"
Astro Tuesday: Oct 24 @ 12PM, ERC 576
The Milky Way's own supermassive black hole SgrA* is our best hope for studying black holes' immediate environments and their growth. There is a wide variety of accretion models, but the only thing we know with certainty is that the amount of the material around SgrA* is small and its accretion is very low.
