Randall H. Landsberg is the person to contact for the big picture of what Cosmus was, is, and is supposed to be. He is a faculty member of the University of Chicago Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics, Director of Outreach at the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics, and Education Coordinator for the National Science Foundation's Center for Astrophysical Research in Antarctica.
Mark Subbarao is a researchers at the University of Chicago Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics, and Director of the Cyberspace Gallery at the Adler Planetarium and Science Museum. He makes visualizations of astronomical data, particularly the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, of which he is an active member.
Dinoj Surendran is a graduate student at the University of Chicago Department of Computer Science. He makes visualizations of astronomical and other data, and is the general gaffer.
Daniela Rosner is a graduate student at the University of Chicago Department of Computer Science Professional Program, and an employee of Adler Planetarium.
Cosmus has its roots in the SCOPE project for Museum Presentations of Science; its interns were Stephanie Andrews, Andrey Zhiglo, and Joi Podgorny.
