Let the wild rumpus begin! After a few moments of doubt today, we are again scheduled to go to leave for New Zealand tomorrow. The CARA bear will be joining us on our adventure. Also along will be an unnamed penguin from the North Kenwood Oakland Charter School. Part of the trip will be asking people what they think the penguin should be called.

Below left, the CARA bear poses with Dr. Larry Hawkins, the Director of the Office of Special Programs at the University of Chicago. On the right, Judy Whitcomb, from the North Kenwood Oakland Charter School, hugs the unnamed penguin one last time before sending it on its way to the Pole.
