Photometry of Stars and Clusters.
(night lab, written and taught by Dr. Jim Sweitzer)
By determining the distance to Arcturus and the globular cluster M92, we derive a distance scale for the Galaxy.

Camera Obscura and Filter.
(day lab, written and taught by Dr. Jim Sweitzer)
We learn about film and cameras, and we take a picture of the Sun.
