Pole News-

1. 3000 liter dewar at Pole. ASA is confident that the leaks on the 1000-liter dewar have now been fixed. The 1000-liter dewar is still waiting to be delivered to Pole. The 1000-liter dewar will be used first at Pole by the AST/RO group and should last until sunset. John Davis, Charlie Kaminski, Mike Masterman and Joe Rottman attended training at McMurdo on transferring Helium from the storage dewars. Mike Masterman will assist during the winter with transferring of Helium. John Davis and Mike Masterman returned to Pole with another 350-liter dewar. There will be a meter on the 3000-liter dewar to check the boil off. The 1000-liter dewar will not have a meter. Scales were not available for ASA to check the weight of the dewars.
2. Joe Rottman would like to include in the SIPs this year a request for two new 3000- liter dewars. These dewars should have scales and boil off meters.
3. Pole is now closed for the season.
4. DASI materials are at Pole.
