Dragovan Agenda Items: News from the Pole: South Pole crew busy setting up for air drop or possibly a landing. AASTO: TEG died, Shutdown, not sure why. Now back up and running, but took a full day to get going again. Plume was knocked off. It accumulates 4 - 6" of ice per day - Charlie is knocking off everyday. Medical: Current plan. Twin otter to arrive later this week, they are rated to -100F. Will have two planes on continent. Betty Carlisle will be left to stay. Ron doing fine - not enthused about leaving. AST/RO beginning transition from CO 2-1 in SMC to 490 GHz CI in GC. DASI - working well, big push on getting results out. ACBAR - up and running, lots of test data, moon door down. No drift scans (for CMB) yet, but they are in the works. FUNDING - JC stressing need to address new proposals to Peacock. CARA year 11 in "process" Will forward to sub-contracts as soon as Chicago gets info. SIP- Pernic: All projects need to send Pernic project description. TONY - will send out web site address that CARA people can review new site testing information. Liquid Helium: status - 1 wessington at 2000 liter, evap 11-15 l/day 3000 gal at 20 l/day; might last until Jan 1 if untapped? ** Charlie will send photo of 3000 gal level scale to help us understand status of 3000 gal supply ** what about next winter? if *ALL* full (3 wessingtons and 3000 gal storage dewar) then we will run out at end of season, this simple calculation does not include any contingencies -- we need to address this in the SIP. Use SIP to push for an updated plan? Cold fingers?... ***Charlie pointed out that new Cryo facility ought to be in Dark Sector. *** FTS is largest users - 1/3 of total *** What do we do about FTS?
