The New Cosmology: From Quantum Fuzz to the Accelerating Universe

New Hotel Information

Dear Chautauqua Participants,
We are very pleased that "The New Cosmology: From Quantum Fuzz to
the Accelerating Universe" has been rescheduled for October 26-28, 2001, starting
8:00 AM on Friday and ending 5:00 PM on Sunday.
Reserve your housing for the course right away (we are overlapping with
Parent's Weekend at the University). We have two options:
- a hotel ~2 miles away (the Ramada) which has a shuttle
- an inexpensive dorm with a communal bath room, International House ~1
mile away
Details for both follow. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN
HOUSING AND RESERVATION.

We have had a block of rooms set aside at a reduced rate at:

This is the closest hotel to campus. The block is held for 10/25/01
through the night of 10/28/01 (i.e., check out on 10/29).

RATE: $90/NIGHT + TAX (14.9% OCCUPANCY)
Terms:
- Individuals must make reservations and pay first night's room & tax by
10/12/01
- Balance due upon check-in (credit card or cash)
- Cancellation policy - 72 hours prior to scheduled arrival first night's
room and tax deposit becomes non-refundable
- Check-in Time is 3:00PM, Check-out Time is 12 Noon
- A $30 incidental deposit is required at check-in
- The GROUP NAME ( U/C CHAUTAUQUA COSMOLOGY) must be used to receive the
special rate
- No cooking is allowed in the room or the common area
- the hotel reserves the right to assess any person a fee for damage,
excessive clean-up or any other category above and beyond the normal range
of hotel services.
