These images were taken through our solar spectroscope mounted on the six-inch refractor. A Canon digital camera was mounted afocally on the output eyepiece of the spectroscope. These example images are, in order, H and K calcium lines, hydrogen beta, the magnesium triplet, the sodium doublet, and finally hydrogen alpha (in emission on the solar limb). There appears to be a instrumental artifact of repetitive lines in the H-alpha image.
